This is a critical part of beautify-ing us for the wedding. There will be a paste that contains haldi (turmeric) that everyone will get a chance to spread on our faces. We're hoping we leave yellow and glowy!
Attire: Yellow colored clothing.
We'll be outside so make sure you wear sunscreen, sunglasses and wear grass-friendly shoes.
MEHENDI

This event will be a chance to decorate your hands and feet with mehendi! Traditionally, it's part of the process to help the bride get ready for the wedding as mehendi is part of the attire for the bride. There will be music and snacks!
Ladies: A kurti/salwar kameez/sundress.
Gentlemen: A kurta/summery shirt and shorts.
We'll be outside so make sure you wear sunscreen, sunglasses and wear grass-friendly shoes.

This is the final step to get us ready for the wedding. There will be a puja (a ritual of worship) and we will take blessings from everyone. Lunch will be provided.
Ladies: Time to bring out a nice pattu (silk) saree.
Gentlemen: Wear a nice silk kurta!

Wedding time!! This will be an hours-long puja (a ritual of worship) with some fun games at the end. We will be taking lots of blessings from everyone who is older than us or married. There will be a traditional banthi bhojanam (multi-course meal served on a banana leaf).
Ladies: Wear your nicest pattu (silk) saree and jewelry to match!
Gentlemen: It's time for the nicest silk kurta you have (maybe with a vest) or a sherwani.

You will need to book a plane as other modes of transit may not be feasible. Try and limit your transit to one layover (preferrably not in India) to prevent losing your luggage.

Sneha's family will be providing English-speaking drivers and cars for everyone. For any travel when the cars are not available, Uber is viable in the main parts of the city.
